Hi! I’m Darius, the founder of DS Education.

In 2024, I was fortunate to achieve a 99.95 ATAR (217.40 Aggregate) with a Raw 50 + Premier’s Award in English (awarded to top 20 out of 40000+ VCE English students in the state). Since then, I have helped dozens of students achieve results that have exceeded their their wildest expectations through a rigorous, systems-driven approach to English.

In addition to academic excellence, every tutor undergoes comprehensive, multi-hour training focused on DS Education’s proprietary frameworks, examiner-aligned marking standards, and feedback precision.

Tutors also complete multiple supervised teaching sessions before working independently, ensuring consistency, clarity, and the uncompromising teaching standards that define DS Education.

How is tutoring structured week to week?

For private sessions, tutoring follows a structured weekly process centred on delivering DS Education’s proprietary frameworks, providing targeted feedback on written work, and guiding students through the implementation of techniques in real tasks. Each student follows a strict, multi-week timeline tailored to their individual SAC schedule, ensuring consistent progress and comprehensive preparation before each assessment.

For group sessions, tutoring follows a structured 10-week program designed to systematically cover the entire VCE English Study Design. Each class is divided into two distinct components: the first hour focuses on explicit instruction of DS Education’s proprietary frameworks and strategies, while the second hour is dedicated to live application, guided practice, and real-time feedback, ensuring concepts are immediately translated into performance.

Does DS Education teach our VCE Section A Texts and Section B Framework?

Yes. DS Education supports all prescribed VCE Section A texts and Section B frameworks (Protest, Play, Personal Journeys, Country). Teaching also focuses on transferable skills, structure, and analytical skills, allowing students to write confidently regardless of text or framework.

Are sessions online or in person?

Private sessions can be conducted online or in person at private classrooms at Monash University.

Group sessions currently run exclusively online.

All online sessions are fully interactive, highly structured, and delivered using the same frameworks, feedback processes, and teaching standards as in-person lessons, ensuring no compromise in quality or outcomes.

What happens if I miss a session?

Missed private sessions may be rescheduled at no additional charge depending on tutor availability.

Missed group sessions are unfortunately unable to be rescheduled. However, all students will have access to the lesson recording and all notes, resources and sample essays utilised in class.
